2014 in Review

This year has been filled with ups and downs but we made it through! So what happened last year? Here are a few of the major highlights from the year:
Agility-Dobby earned his NAC, NJC, O-NAC, O-NAC for NADAC agility. Dobby earned many other Qs getting us a few steps closer to his Novice Versatility title including an elusive Chances Q that I never saw coming. After recovering from a two month long, mysterious injury, Dobby came back on fire and ready to run. We've ordered more equipment for home and hopefully the winter weather will hold off to allow for more outdoor practice.
Rally- Dobby and I finished up our Rally Novice(RN) title in September at the Bluegrass Classic. The judge said that our class(mainly myself and a few other juniors) was one of the most talented and highest scoring classes she had ever judged especially for being a novice class. I also found out last week that we qualified for AKC Rally Nationals in March at Purina Farms for Rally Novice!
Blogging- This November was our first blogiversary and we've accomplished a lot since our launch in 2013. Dobby and I attended BarkWorld in October, where I was a roundtable leader. We networked, won prizes and scored some SWAG! Also this year I created a post schedule with hopes of posting more. I focused on our social media presence with the aid of #blogpawschats and other great campaigns.
New Puppy- Tessa was born in April and we adopted her into our home in June. She has been an interesting addition to our lives to say the least. She is pretty adorable (I may be a little partial) and keeps us on our toes. She is a little sponge, learning many tricks including sit, down, spin, turn, touch, and paws up. We're also working on fundamentals for agility by using hoops and jumps with out bars.
What did you accomplish this year?

  1. Your new puppy is totally utterly adorable. I would have brought her home too! I want another Shitzu so bad! I feel pretty confident that sometime in 2015 I'll be able to get another one. It's nice to meet you, and I look forward to reading more about your dogs and your life in 2015.

  2. Super congrats on qualifying for Nationals? Are you going to try and go?
