A to Z:V is for Volunteering

No matter who you are, you can help your fellow community members through volunteering. There are many ways to connect dogs with a love of helping others:

-One of our favorite ways to give back is helping our local animal shelters. There are so many ways that you can help the animals in need. Cleaning cages, bathing dogs, or taking dogs for walks are all ways you can make a difference. You can also host donation drives to benefit the shelter.
Another great way is to take pictures of adoptable dogs. Better quality photos help get dogs adopted.

-Another great way to connect your own dog with volunteering is therapy visits. Most nursing homes and schools require that your dog is certified with a therapy organization prior to visits. Such organizations include Therapy Dog Inc., Love on a Leash and Therapy Dogs International.
