Dog Sitting and Treat Making

Yesterday we watched Dobby's girlfriend while her owner was out of town. The two of them romped all over the house and chased one another until they were dizzy! While they were taking a break from racing, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to make some new treats.
Aren't they the cutest chefs?
There was definitely some secret swapping going on here!
Above are the ingredients we used to make Peanut Butter and Strawberry cake pops. The recipe we created was super easy to follow because it was an adaptation of many human cake recipes. You need:
  • 8-10 Large Strawberries
  • 1 Cup of Flour
  • 1/4 Vegetable Oil
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Teaspoon of  Baking Powder
  • 2 Tablespoons of Peanut Butter
  • 1 Teaspoon of Honey

First make sure you take time to get plenty of kisses!
Mix together the peanut butter, flour, vegetable oil, egg, honey and baking powder.

Next, clean the strawberries and chop them into small pieces. Then puree the strawberries until few chunks are left. Add to the mixture and stir.
Laugh at the cute dog begging at your feet!
I put the batter into my cake pop maker to make bite sized treats but you could easily bake this into a full sized cake for your dogs.
The final product!
Notice how half of Harley's treat is missing? She hasn't learned to sit for a picture before she eats her treat.
Dobby has!
Both dogs thought the were delicious! Also, baking these treats will make your house smell so good. It smelled like peanut butter cookies were baking!
Do you like baking for your dog?
